After completing my education I moved to California where I became licensed. There, I was able to provide services through a Federally Qualified Health Center, thus bringing naturopathic medicine to a community health population. I also worked extensively with older adults on healthy aging. After several years, I gave birth to my first child and with this new insight I developed an increased interest in supporting the wellness of new mothers.

I enjoy working with people from a variety of ages and backgrounds and helping each unique person to achieve optimal wellness. Recommendations that I may offer to clients include herbal teas, nutritional supplements, hydrotherapy, diet and lifestyle education as well as traditional therapies from my Mexica and Taino heritage. Most importantly, I value collaborating with clients on how to take an active role in their health.

Currently, I serve on the leadership team of the Texas Association of Naturopathic Doctors. In my spare time, you might find me immersing myself in a good novel, singing in a chorus or getting outdoors to camp and hike with my spouse, two kiddos and our sweet senior dog.
